It doesn't look that great, but it sure speeds things up in the morning, and I don't care what it looks like. I think that salt water or vinegar-water could probably do damage to your car's finish, because road salt causes what we call "car-cancer" up here in New England. Our garage is my husband's wood shop (at least it isn't a garage full of junk, thank heavens), so I'll never get to keep my car in there.Tinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17761896533503949069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072221920679270404.post-47710170964401531202017-07-28T10:19:05.228-07:002017-07-28T10:19:05.228-07:003 Researches SHOW How Coconut Oil Kills Waist Fat....3 Researches SHOW How Coconut Oil Kills Waist Fat.

This means that you actually kill fat by eating Coconut Fats (also coconut milk, coconut cream and coconut oil).

These 3 researches from large medical journals are sure to turn the conventional nutrition world upside down!Bloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07287821785570247118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072221920679270404.post-90499755630860574782017-04-20T00:24:23.486-07:002017-04-20T00:24:23.486-07:00Thank you for sharing the information here. I would not recommend spraying anything on your car that has not been approved as safe for your paint. Even salt water will create a corrosive environment that could lead to rusting. Store vinegar is ~4% to 8%. 88% acetic acid would not only harm your car, it would burn your skin. 2 parts store vinegar with one part water would bring that down to 5% or less, and would not noticeably affect the freezing point. The easiest way to remove ice and snow off your windshield, anything from frost to a foot of frozen ice and snow, is to cover it when it's clear with a piece of plastic tarp. This is the very best as neither ice or snow will stick to it and it's sturdy. You can buy them, I've used one for years and it's getting tattered, but all it is is a piece of tarp. Cut it long enough to be able to close both front doors on each end, maybe an extra 8-12" and wide enough to go from top to bottom of the windshield under the windshield wipers. You may need to make the flaps that go inside each door a bit more narrow than the windshield. The trick is to hold it tight enough as you close the second door so the wind won't pick it up, without closing the door on your fingers. The tarp can double as a sun screen in hot weather. In the morning just open one door and pull it back rapidly out from under the wipers and everything on it will fly off. Fully remove it, give it a shake and almost all ice will fall off, fold it up and stick in the car for when you get home.
I just wish I figure how to make covers for the side/rear windows.
Bags on the mirrors are a great idea although I don't know how to get a rubber band large enough to go over the mirror and still hold the baggie on tight, I'm going to try the "zip lock" variety and I plan to try the vinegar spray on the side windows. I've had a bottle of full (ok 5%) strength partially full, sitting in my kitchen for years without pitting. I'm going to try just the center portions first so it won't drip on the finish.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072221920679270404.post-67242049671643997412014-12-02T17:31:15.931-08:002014-12-02T17:31:15.931-08:00Plastic newspaper bags on the wipers, regular plas...Plastic newspaper bags on the wipers, regular plastic shopping bags on the side mirrors, rubber-backed door mat on the windshield. The mat is heavy enough to stay on the windshield without moving and will stave off the snow and ice without sticking to the glass. If the mat doesn't cover the whole windshield, then at least the vital part is clear and you'll be able to defrost the rest on the road. Using 2 quarts of rubbing alcohol, 1 cup water and 1 teaspoon of dish detergent, you now have a winter window washing fluid at a fraction of the price at a local store. Pour a similar mix on walkways to prevent freezing after shoveling: 1 teaspoon liquid dish detergent, 1 tablespoon of rubbing alcohol, and 1.5 gallons of water. Spray 3 parts vinegar to 1 part water on your car windows the night before to prevent ice from forming. You will still need to brush off the snow (of course!).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072221920679270404.post-42430778440917455342014-11-18T13:03:00.882-08:002014-11-18T13:03:00.882-08:00Also it works great on rust tooAlso it works great on rust tooAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06336447875888129586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072221920679270404.post-31587792812000633682014-11-18T13:01:33.695-08:002014-11-18T13:01:33.695-08:00Just pour coke on the ice, it will work greatJust pour coke on the ice, it will work greatAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06336447875888129586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2072221920679270404.post-31481037113644981342014-11-17T23:10:09.410-08:002014-11-17T23:10:09.410-08:00The vinegar/water mix works marginally, but does h...The vinegar/water mix works marginally, but does help.
